On March 24th, we will get to experience a New Moon – The New Moon is a time of embracing new projects, ideas, plans, thoughts, relationships and the changes we wish to invite into our lives. It is a time of seeding intentions and of opening to the new possibilities that are brought by another lunar cycle. In honor of the new moon, we will celebrate with a beautiful Cacao ceremony filled with mindful movement, guided meditation and community. The wonderful Samantha Carney, of Blossom Bright, Doorway of Light, and CoastalRoots Apothecary, will be leading us through a sound healing drum meditation.
At this time of the year, the ground begins to soften enough for earthworm casts to reappear, inviting robins and other birds to feed—a true sign of spring. Roots start to push their way up through the soil, and the Earth experiences a re-birth as it awakens from its winter slumber. This is what we experience when we set intentions with the new moon energy.
This sacred ceremony is meant to bring you closer to your heart and all that you yearn for. We’ll harness the power of the new moon to honor what you would like to let go of and guide your intentions into your heart space. Join us for this intimate workshop – give yourself mental and physical space, retreat inwards, learn more about yourself, understand where you are and celebrate where you are going.
Cacao comes from the cacao bean. The word cacao actually came from the Maya word Ka’kau, and the Maya word Chokola’j — which means to drink chocolate together. The cacao plant is seen as a medicinal plant, and has been used for a number of spiritual, medicinal and ceremonial purposes throughout history.
Through opening the heart, cacao enables us to hear our true self, work through blockages and past traumas, dissolve any pent up negative energy, and help us align with who we truly are.
Attendees will receive a New Moon Intention card, white sage bundle and a cleansing crystal to really open and ignite your intentions.
Space is limited – we hope you can join us ♥
